CIAT’s work contributes importantly to CGIAR Research Programs, which address the major agricultural challenges of our time. CIAT is lead center for the program on Climate Change, Agriculture and Food Security (CCAFS), which helps smallholder farmers adapt to and mitigate the effects of rising temperatures and increasingly unpredictable rains.

CIAT knowledge dissemination and sharing platform in collaboration with Green Without Borders, enable timely research channed to small-scale producers for sustainable agriculture.



The SUN Movement Strategy and Roadmap

The Scaling Up Nutrition (SUN) Movement Strategy and Roadmap (2016-2020) is the product of a consultative process that spanned 57 countries, multiple United Nations (UN) and donor agencies, along with hundreds of international and national non-government organisations and businesses. It outlines the SUN Movement’s second phase and is focused on translating momentum into results for people who suffer due to malnutrition everywhere. It presents a practical vision of how we can all work together, toward our vision of a world without malnutrition by 2030

We are part of the SUN Movement in Kenya as social-entrepreneurs, role of nutrition in agriculture as value chain developers of Pulses productivity.


We have partnered with MMUST  to complement synergies to the  School of Agriculture, Veterinary Sciences and Technology ( SAVET ) objective – To foster linkages with industries and other stakeholders for enhanced and sustainable livelihood which n=borders on our primary objectives To facilitate agro-technology innovation through developing of agribusiness value chains

To promote agribusiness ventures through linkages to market information and development.
